King’s Kids Ministry

Our vision is that the children of BridgeWay Church would be equipped and empowered as disciples of Jesus Christ, moving in the power of the Holy Spirit, changing the world around them by living their lives for Jesus.

Our Heart for King’s Kids

Can children understand the deep things in God’s Word? Can children hear God’s voice? Can they minister healing and shift atmospheres in their schools? In Bridgeway’s King’s Kids Children’s Ministry, we say ‘yes’ to all of these and provide opportunities for your children to be spiritually equipped and empowered at an early age.

Through relevant Biblical instructions and demonstrations, children learn both the fear of God and the fun of God. God is good, and in a good mood is one of the core beliefs our children learn. Coupled with teachings of who they are in Christ, it gives each child an incredible foundation for their walk with the Lord.

Parents are kept abreast of all teaching through the weekly parent handout because we recognize that our role is to support the mandate God gives to parents to ‘raise a child in the ways he should go.’

Our easy check-in system is open for the first 45 minutes of the services, and guardian tags are provided to check the children out securely.

Not sure if your child will stay with us? No worries. One of our experienced children ministers will gladly give you and your family a tour of the King’s Kids Children’s Ministry where you can see classrooms, meet teachers, and ask questions.

Lisa Kempers has been happily married to her high school sweetheart, Gregory Kempers, for 34 wonderful years. Together, they have been blessed with six children, 10 grandchildren, and are joyfully anticipating the arrival of their 11th grandchild.

Growing up, Lisa’s greatest dream was to become a wife and mother, and she is deeply grateful that God has fulfilled that dream beyond anything she could have imagined. She treasures spending time with her family and considers them one of God’s greatest blessings.

Lisa is passionate about serving others and investing in the next generation. She brings years of parenting, family counseling, and leadership to our children’s ministry. Lisa’s heart is to encourage children and families to grow in their faith and experience God’s love in meaningful ways. Greg and Lisa are both elders at BridgeWay.

Angela serves as the children’s ministry assistant and holds a deep love for Jesus. Born and raised in Colorado within a large family of three brothers and three sisters, she has always understood the importance of connection and unity. She met her husband, Lynn, at their childhood church when she was just eight years old; today they have four children: Lynn, KamRon, Koby, and Angelee.

Implementing her early childhood education through CCA and direct experience with diverse children at Bethel Christian School and High Point Academy, she is a reliable, creative, and collaborative educator. Being a wife, mother, and teacher is why Angela has a heart for children and their families. She is dedicated to helping children grow in the ways of the Lord, recognize his voice, and walk confidently in their identity as his children.

Beyond her role as a children’s ministry assistant, she is a devoted worshiper and intercessor with a deep desire to see the hurting delivered and transformed so they may fulfill the purpose and calling God has for them, along with the sick healed through faith and the power of the Lord.

Ashley is a daughter of the King and a passionate lover of Jesus. Ashley longs to see kids encounter the Father’s love and know that they belong to Him as His beloved children. She has a passion for the word and loves to worship. Her heart is to teach others to go deep into the Word and to fall in love with worshipping Jesus. Ashley was born and raised in Colorado and loves spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors. She goes on lots of adventures with her Husband James and their three young children.
