As we continue to steward our gatherings with intentionality and honor everyone who serves, we want to let you know that we are making some small—but meaningful—adjustments to our service flow. However, if God is moving by His Spirit powerfully we will color outside the guidelines.
Over the past month, we have felt led to tighten our service timeframes to stay within a more focused window. Our aim will be to keep announcements short, instead letting everyone check the QR code on the back of the chair in front of you. We will also aim to end the sermon by 11:15/11:20 to begin a time of ministry. If we can end our service by 11:30 (unless God is moving powerfully) this will help us serve all generations well. It will especially help our amazing children’s ministry volunteers who faithfully care for your kids each week. We kindly ask all parents to pick up your children promptly at 11:30am. You may bring them into the sanctuary if you wish to continue receiving ministry. Doing so not only honors our volunteers’ time, but also creates a more seamless transition as we wrap up our gatherings.
Most importantly, we are also asking that you limit your conversations as you enter the sanctuary and to focus on inviting and expecting to engage with the Lord’s Presence in worship. This means finishing your food in the lobby before you enter the sanctuary to help others around you and you yourself to focus on Him. (You may still bring in coffee and tea.) Our hunger and reverence for God and His Presence has a lot to do with cultivation the Presence of God and the move of His Spirit which we so enjoy.
